The Biden Administration’s American Jobs Plan, the most ambitious climate law in US history, includes up to $40 billion in spending on “clean energy deployment” projects. The American Jobs Plan is designed to help prioritize climate, clean energy, and infrastructure investments in the nation’s poorer and most burdened communities, historically left out of these investments. The majority of clean energy funds will go towards projects in these vulnerable regions, such as the installation of renewable energy sources and upgrades to energy systems, storage, and electric grids. In addition, these regions will benefit from increased access to clean, safe, and reliable water; more energy-efficient buildings; and improved transportation systems.
